West Hancock girls roll through Belmond-Klemme, struggle in Clarion-Goldfield-Dows victory

West Hancock girls basketball faced Belmond-Klemme at home for the first round of regionals.

They’d defeat the Broncos handily in a 75-29 victory on Feb. 18.

West Hancock scored 32 points to cap off quarter one and they kept going.

Rachel Leerar scored 21 points as the rest of the team spread out scoring amongst themselves.

The team combined for 29 steals in the match.

The girls then hosted a second game on Friday, welcoming Clarion-Goldfield-Dows.

The Eagles won that game 67-51, but it wasn’t the type of game West Hancock wanted to have.
