The Leader has served the communities of Hancock County for over 100 years as a community newspaper. It is the official publication for Hancock County, the cities of Garner, Corwith, the Garner-Hayfield School District and the West Hancock School District. The Leader is also the official newspaper for the cities of LuVerne and Wesley in Kossuth County.

We offer competative advertising rates for color or black and white ads in many sizes. We have a team of award-winning ad designers to create your ad, or we can place an ad that has already been made. A discount is offered for repeating, consecutive ads.

Every regular ad that is placed in the Leader is also run in the Shopper Review News for free.

Online ads for the Leader website are also availble in a variety of sizes and can link to your website, Facebook page, or advertisement from the newspaper.

The Leader is one of 22 weeklies and 7 shoppers operated by Mid-America Publishing, which is a full-service publishing and custom printing company headquartered in Hampton. Through your Leader sales rep, advertisers are eligible for a "blockbuster" sales package that includes an ad in all of the Mid-America Publishing publications.
