Garner-Hayfield-Ventura girls basketball had spent many of their games falling just short this year.
This week, it came together for the Cards.
The team started with a 61-43 victory over rival West Hancock on Jan. 19 at home.
The girls followed up by beating Forest City, 53-51, at home on Thursday.
It was the first time GHV has beaten either team since 2014.
Friday night, the Cardinals defeated Belmond-Klemme in Garner, 60-30.
Against the Eagles, the GHV shot up to an 11-0.
Predictably, West Hancock came back to tie up the game.
