MaryAnn Wacker was born November 29. 1931 at Garner, Iowa.  She was the daughter of Gideon and Melvina Wittenberg.  She attended Garner Public Schools.  She was married to Sylvanus Wacker on November 28, 1952.  They lived on the farm northeast of Klemme with husband and family,

 MaryAnn is survived by their sons, Dan, Fred, John (Cindy) of Garner, Paul and Mark, Ames, Iowa, daughters Anita Wilson, Goldendale, Wash., Joanna (Mark) Johns, Waconia, Minn., Anna (Tory) Meyer, Bloomington, Minn., Lois Moore, Eden Prairie, Minn., Ruth Mestad, Rochester, Minn.

Mr. Lee Allen Johnson, 74, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC.  A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Barron Funeral Home 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC.

Linda Rae Kollasch-Arnold, 73, of Garner passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, at the JourneyCare hospice facility in Barrington, IL after losing her battle with Covid. She was 73 years old.

A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner with Fr. Ben Valentine officiating. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, at Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Elaine Carolyn Ristau, 75, formally of Garner, passed away peacefully October 20, 2022 at Windsor Manor in Nevada, Iowa. The family would like to thank everyone from Concord Care Center in Garner, Windsor Manor in Nevada, along with Michelle Dornbier and Richard Ristau of Garner, for their support and help with Elaine’s care.

Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 310 1st Ave N, Clear Lake, IA.

Sheila L. Sperr, 60, of Garner died Friday, October 28, 2022, at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.

A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garner with Rev. Scott Kozisek officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the Cataldo Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be at Concord Township Cemetery.

Merrill “Ed” E. Anderson, 92, of Clear Lake died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, at Concord Care Center in Garner.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., Garner with Pastor Tedi Anne Hassapopoulos officiating. Inurnment will be at Concord Township Cemetery with military rites by the Garner Veterans Ceremonial Unit.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral chapel.

Leo G. Wellik, 88, of Garner died Saturday, October 15, 2022, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.
 
A funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan with Fr. Andrew Marr officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites by the Garner Veterans Ceremonial Unit.

Gregory John Schaefer, 52, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.  He leaves behind his wife, Michelle, and his children, Maliyah (10) and Mack (8).

A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2022 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner with Fr. Andrew Marr officiating. The service will be livestreamed on the Cataldo Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
