Cardinal Girls Race in Buffalo Center

Buffalo Center – On Thursday, April 17th, the GHV girls track team participated in the 2025 Lady Bison Relays. Final team results unavailable. 

Malia Hinz placed second for the Cards in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.65. Payge Smith took sixth place at 16.65. 

Malia Hinz took second in the open 200 with a time of 29.01, while Molly Maurer finished fourth at 29.86. 

Patience Katter took second place in the 400 meter dash at 1:06.41. Sadie Britson was right there too at 1:07.87 for fourth place. 

Nichole Larson ran the 1500 for GHV and finished third with a time of 5:58.59. 

Kate Hejlik took fourth in the 100 meter hurdles at 19.81, while Macy McMahon finished seventh at 21.93. 

Kacie Lynch took second in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:18.34. 

The Cardinals’ 4x100 team featured Hinz, Hayden Bredlow, Tessa Fuentes, and Bella Schisel. They finished second with a time of 52.02.

The 4x200 team consisted of Bredlow, Ella Brink, Merediz Hinz, and Fuentes. They finished third at the 1:56.95 mark.

Katter, Reese Schleuser, Bristol, and Maurer ran the 4x400 for the Cards and took second place with a time of 4:19.80. 

Coming in fifth place in the 4x800 with a time of 12:34.65 were Alice Blair, Leah Hansen, Macy Purcell, and Meredith Hinz. 

With a first-place finish in the 800 sprint medley and a time of 1:59.66, were Schisel, Bredlow, Britson, and Maurer. 

The Cards wheeled out Sophie Deacon, Jaelyn Anderson, Josie Malek, and Larson to run the distance medley relay. They posted a time of 5:17.29 and took fourth place. 

GHV ran the 4x100 meter shuttle hurdle relay in 1:21.52, earning them third place. The Cards’ team consisted of Schleusner, McMahon, Lynch, and Hejlik. 

Macy Nesset took fifth place in the shot put with a throw of 27-10.00. Milli Gutierrez finished seventh with a try of 24-00. 

Hannah Weiskamp claimed second place in the discus with a throw of 104-06. Blair finished 10th with a try of 49-00.
