GHV Girls’ Golf Team says “Thanks”

Last week the GHV Girls Golf team competed in the Class 2A State Tournament. The members of the team would like to thank all of our parents, friends and supporters for their good wishes throughout the season and especially during the postseason.

Our parents were incredible during the season, helping us transport clubs and push carts while also providing occasional treats. After qualifying for the state tournament, the amount of support we received from the community was amazing.

A special thank you goes to the members of the Garner Women's Golf Association for the great send off and gift bags they had for us. We'd also like to express our appreciation to the members of the Garner Fire Department who paraded us through town before we departed on Wednesday. A big thank you goes to Steve Madsen for the awesome posters that he created along with Greiman Construction Services who provided the funding for those posters.

And we can't forget the staff members at GHV High School who adjusted their schedules for us while we were absent from their classes practicing for and competing in the tournaments.
