Henschen Scholarship deadline is June 15

The Scholarship Committee of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church in Garner announce that applications for the William Henschen Scholarship are due June 15 for the 2024-2025 school year.

The terms of the Will directed that the governing body of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church in Garner administer this legacy. Those who are invited to apply include current and former graduates of the Garner Hayfield Ventura School District (the “District”) who, at the time of graduation, primarily resided within the District as defined on August 1, 2015.

Also eligible are students who had open enrolled into the District for the four consecutive years immediately preceding the year in which the student graduated from the District. Eligible students who are uncertain about attending college in the fall are encouraged to apply.

Applications are available at the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Community High School.  Forms are also available at the Clear Lake Bank and Trust and at the Reliance State Bank in Garner.

The deadline for applications is June 15, 2024.  Please submit applications early to avoid missing the acceptance date. Official college transcriptsshould be submitted immediately following the completion of the spring term. All official college transcripts are due July 15, 2024.
