Fatal Crash in Wright County
Three people were killed in a car-semi crash in Wright County on Monday, Nov. 21. The accident occurred about 7 a.m., at the intersection of Hancock Ave. and 160thSt., near Holmes.
The Iowa State Patrol reports the fatalities were Jorge Marih Lopez Lopez, 27, of Britt and two other unidentified individuals. The report said all three were found dead at the scene by first responders.
They were occupants of a 2007 BMW. The report says the driver of the vehicle is unknown.
The other vehicle involved in the crash was a Mack Semi was driven by Braxton William Matthew Murphy, 20, of Eldora. Murphy sustained minor non-life threatening injuries.
The collision remains under investigation. Assisting agencies include Clarion Fire Department, Clarion EMS, Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Wright County Emergency Management, Wright County Medical Examiner, Ewing and Foust Funeral Homes.
