Garfield Sluggers contribute to Humane Society

Just in time for Valentine’s Day! The Garfield Sluggers 4-H Club care about our four-footed pals! The 4-H group dedicated their January meeting to creating fleece tie blanket and dog tug toys to be donated to the Humane Society of North Iowa. The group worked diligently to complete 21 blankets and 75 tug toys - all of which were greatly appreciated by the Humane Society.

In doing this service project, the 4-H club learned about teamwork and working together for a greater good. The Garfield Sluggers, led by Eric and Kimberly Malek and Casey and Katie Schleusner, has 58 members. The club is just one of many of the 4-H clubs in Hancock County.
