Santa comes to Town!

Not even a pandemic could stop Santa Claus from making a pre-Christmas stop at Garner on Saturday afternoon. The "jolly ole elf" and Mrs. Claus greeted youngsters with a friendly wave and a "merry Christmas" from a socially safe distance during a drive-thru event on State Street. A little further on, Santa's helpers handed out goodie bags donated by Garner businesses and individuals. D.J. Randy Formanek played music to add to the holiday spirit. Drive-thru Santa was sponsored by the Garner Chamber of Commerce, Mat's Place, Pritchard Auto and the Garner Public Library.
