Seventy-nine in GHV Class of 2023
GARNER – “Together we have experienced life, separately we pursue out dreams, and forever our memories will remain” is the motto of the Class of 2023 at Garner-Hayfield-Ventura.
On Sunday, May 21, the 79 members of the GHV senior class will don the traditional cap and gown and receive their high school diplomas. Commencement ceremonies begin 1 p.m. in the high school gym.
Aleah Brown, class secretary, will extend a welcome to friends and family.
Shawn Miller, high school principal, will also welcome the audience. The program includes the announcement of honor students and the presentation of the American Legion and Bar Association Awards.
Student speakers are Sarah Schmidt, student body president; Rebecca Hejlik, class president; and Emma Goll, class vice president. Anna Zrostlik, class treasurer, will give closing remarks.
Student council representatives also include Rachel Bierle, Braden Boehnke, Morgan Krein.
Matt Graham, GHV business education teacher, will be the keynote speaker. Principal Miller will make the presentation of the Class of 2023. Jay Larkin, school board president, will confer diplomas.
Music will be provided by the GHV High School Band, and the GHV Concert Choir.
The senior class will be highlighted in a video produced by Addition Hejna.
