Nora L. Claude
Nora L. Claude, 72, of Grimes, formerly of Garner, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 at Kennybrook Village in Grimes with her family at her side. .
A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday May 16, 2024, at Westover Funeral Home 6337 Hickman Road, Des Moines. Cataldo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
Burial will be in Hannibal, Missouri at a later date.
Unora Louise Claude, the daughter of Paul and Allis (Harris) Wood, was born on April 8, 1952, in Hannibal, Missouri. She attended school in Hannibal until the 9th grade and graduated from East Dubuque High School in 1970. Nora worked in Dubuque for a time before moving to Garner where she worked in business management.
On February 1, 1998, she was united in marriage to Steve Claude. They lived in Garner where Nora continued to work until retiring in 2010 due to health problems. After retiring she volunteered her time in the Garner and Clear Lake area. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading, decorating and most of all spending time with her granddaughters and family.
She was a member of the Garner United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Garner VFW Auxiliary.
Nora is survived by her son, Sean (Jodi) Kenneally of Grimes and their two children, Bailey and Avery; sister, Mary (Marcel) Tabar of Chicago, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Steve Claude and Mike Kenneally; brother, Paul E. Wood; and sister, Claudia Brown.
