John E. Haan

John Edward Haan, 43, of Summerville, SC died February 22, 2026 at Trident Hospital, North Charleston, SC. 

He was born June 5, 1984 to Carol (Berneman) Carmack and John A Haan (deceased) in Amarillo, TX. A celebration of life is planned for this summer at Clear Lake, IA. John attended Nansemond River High School in Suffolk, VA.He worked for K-9 landscaping in Elizabeth City, NC. His hobbies were cooking, gaming, fishing and working as a handyman.

John is survived by his mother and stepfather Carol and Stephen Carmack of Summerville, SC, his brother William Arnold of Jasper AL, daughter Rosemarie Buland of Mason City, IA and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father John A Haan, paternal grandparents Edward J. and Myrtle (Schreiber) Haan and maternal grandparents Frances (Decker) and Richard Y. Berneman.
