Garret D. Hauptmann, 58, of Thompson, lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa in Mason City.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Wesley. Cataldo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
