Forty-one to graduate from West Hancock

BRITT – West Hancock is set to confer high school diplomas to the 41 members of the Class of 2023 on Sunday, May 21. Commencement exercises will begin at 2 p.m.

A quote by singer Tim McGraw, “Chase your dream, but always know the road that will lead you home again,” was selected by the class as their motto.

The class flower is a white rose tipped with red sparkles. Class colors are white and gold.

Principal Dan Peterson will welcome friends and family.

Senior speakers will be Dru Hagen, Morgan Francis and Jackson Johnson.

Senior class officers are President Morgan Francis, Vice President Olivia Moore, Secretary Shelby Goepel and Treasurer Maddie Bruggeman.

Mark Sanger, high school physical education teacher, varsity football and wrestling coach, will be the guest commencement speaker.

Principal Dan Peterson will make the presentation of awards to the class valedictorian and salutatorian.

Music will be provided by the high school concert band and concert choir. One number, “I Lived,” will be sung by members of the senior class.

Superintendent Wayne Kronemann and Board of Education President Ryan Johnson will confer diplomas.
