Donna Louise Quintus
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Donna Quintus (age 75) in Fort Myers, FL on Sunday, November 24, 2024. Donna passed away unexpectedly from heart failure.
Donna was born on June 4, 1949 in Forest City, IA. She was the daughter of Gilbert and Veronica Horecka (nee Rayhons), and grew up in Garner, IA.
In 1967, Donna left Garner to attend college at Mankato State University. Donna and Bill were married in 1968 and began their life together in the Twin Cities in 1969, after Bill returned from Viet Nam. Donna worked for many years as an administrative professional. However, she was most proud of the 10 years she spent at home raising her two children.
Her kindness, compassion and gentle heart will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was the type of person who was always there for others and leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and cherished memories.
Donna is survived by her husband of 56 years, Earl "Bill" Quintus who says marrying her was the best decision of his life. She is also survived by her daughter, Michelle (Jeff); son, Tom (Sheila); grandchildren, Rio, Laynie, Sereya, and Elise; her sister, Becky Smallfoot; her two brothers, Doug and Bob Horecka; as well as many relatives and friends.
