Dennis G. Nannenga
Dennis G. Nannenga, 74, of Garner, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, at Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 2, 2024, at Garner Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Clevey Ragsdale officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., Garner and will resume one hour prior to services at the church.
Memorials may be directed to Hidden Acres Christian Center, 3837 Union Ave, Dayton, IA 50530in memory of Dennis.
Dennis George Nannenga, the son of George and Melva (Cannon) Nannenga, was born on October 2,1950 in Britt. He grew up in Klemme where he graduated from high school. Following high schoolDennis worked at Winnebago Industries ship out division until his retirement. On May 17, 1980, hemarried Catherine Houdek at the Evangelical Free Church in Clear Lake. They lived in Garner all oftheir married life where they raised their two children, Henry and Lenita. Dennis enjoyed deer huntingwith his son, Henry, fishing, gardening, collecting coins, and camping with family. He was an avidIowa Hawkeye fan.
He was a member of the Garner Evangelical Free Church.
Dennis is survived by his son, Henry (Audrey) Nannenga of Manson, Iowa; daughter, Lenita Nannengaof Holstein, Iowa and her boyfriend, Cole Norris; grandchildren, Olivia, Isabella and Amelia Nannenga;sisters-in-law, Pat (Emil) Bratten, Mary (Paul) Jackson, Deb (Randy) Tritch, Deanna (Jim) Pandolfi, JoAnn (Spiro) Comis and Barbara (John) Stewart; and a brother-in-law, Allan Berding.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Catherine in 2008; father-in-law, Raymond Houdek;and mothers-in-law, Anna Houdek and Lenita Houdek.
