Ag Day is Saturday at Klemme

KLEMME – Ag Day is back and better than ever! Klemme’s salute to rural Iowa is Saturday, June 17. Activities will take place at Klemme City Park unless otherwise indicated.

Fire up your grill! A barbecue cook-off will take place at the west side of the park (by the Methodist Church) from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Judging for the cook-off will be at 1:30 p.m.

A vendor fair will be located at the east side of the park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A car/truck/motorcycle/tractor show from 12-3 p.m. Judging will take place from 2-3 p.m.

Kids games will take place will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bingo will take place at the shelter house and train rides around the park will begin at noon. 

At 2 p.m. a kid’s pedal pull competition will begin. Free watermelon will be served.

The Ag Day Parade is at 5 p.m. Line-up is at 4 p.m. at the New Cooperative parking lot.

Afterwards, supper will be served at the fire station. Proceeds will benefit the Klemme Fire Department.

The evening entertainment includes a street dance, beer garden with music by Skunk River Band. The day will end with fireworks at approximately 10 p.m.
