Absentee Ballots for LuVerne School District Special Election
Hancock County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections has announced that absentee ballots for the September 13, 2022, Special Election (Lu Verne School District) for eligible electors in Hancock County will be available in the Hancock County Auditor’s Office beginning Wednesday, August 24, 2022.
Absentee ballots may be cast in the Hancock County Auditor’s Office at the Hancock County Courthouse, during regular office hours from 8 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning Wednesday, August 24, 2022, through Monday, September 12, 2022.
Absentee ballots must be requested in writing. Request forms are available at the Auditor’s Office, on the Hancock County website at www.hancockcountyia.gov, click on Auditor under Departments, then click on Application for Absentee Ballot and also on the Iowa Secretary of State’s website at www.sos.iowa.gov.
All requests for ballots to be mailed must be received by the Auditor’s Office by 5 p.m., August 29, 2022.
Ballots requested through the mail must be returned back to the Auditor’s Office by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, September 13, 2022.
