Elizabeth Ann Blockhus 41, of Klemme, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the Iowa Specialty Hospital in Belmond.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ, 313 Elder St, Klemme, IA with Pastor David Boogerd officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.  

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Immanuel Reformed United Church of Christ in Klemme.Memorials may be directed to the family of Elizabeth Blockhus.  Cataldo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 Rosy Fangman, 93, of Britt, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rosy Fangman will be held at 10:30 AM, on Monday, July 8, 2024, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 139 3rd Street South East, in Britt, with Father Jerry Blake officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 PM, on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Ewing Funeral Chapel, 178 Center Street West, in Britt, with a Rosary and Scriptural Wake Service beginning at 2:00 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Jack C. Merten, 75, of Clinton passed away Sunday at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport.

Ronald Pringnitz, 95, of Britt formerly of Kanawha, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.

Funeral services for Ronald Pringnitz will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Kanawha Methodist Church, 402 North Main Street, in Kanawha.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Ewing Funeral Home, 118 East Second Street, in Kanawha, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the United Methodist Church in Garner with Rev. Kristin Peters officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Britt.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.

BRITT - Darrell C. Schaper, 90, of Britt, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Ewing Funeral Home, 178 Center Street West in Britt, with Pastor Kristen Peters officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Britt. Visitation was Wednesday, May 28, 2024 at Ewing Funeral Home in Britt.

Memorials in Darrell’s name may be directed to Hancock County Agriculture Museum, West Hancock Ambulance Service, or The Nature Conservancy.

Dee Etta K. Hollatz, 77, of Garner, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church east of Garner with Pastor Mark Lund officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 4that Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4thSt., Garner and will resume one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Nora L. Claude, 72, of Grimes, formerly of Garner, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 at  Kennybrook Village in Grimes with her family at her side.             .

A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday May 16, 2024,  at Westover Funeral Home 6337 Hickman Road, Des Moines. Cataldo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.

Burial will be in Hannibal, Missouri at a later date.
