NEW HAMPTON – On Thursday, Jan. 23, the Garner-Hayfied-Vemtura wrestling team competed at a triangular hosted by New Hampton, which also featured Decorah.

It was a tough day for the GHV team, but a memorable one for Lucas Kral as he picks up his 150th career win. Kral joins the history books with some of the sport’s best wrestlers through the ages. And while Kral would surely say he has more history to make, he can now check *win 150 matches* off his career to-do list.

This is a big achievement for any wrestler. Lucas is the second in our programs' history. The other one being Conner Shaw who won 163 in his career." said coach Cory Jenniges. "A lot of hard work and dedication goes into something like this. Lucas has been committed and focused on the sport for a long time and is now seeing the fruits of his labor. 150 is a big milestone. We look forward to seeing where this leads. We have another young man on our team looking to achieve this soon in Parker Moritz."

Jeninges continued, "The team has been wrestling well. We are pretty young so finding consistency from week to week has been our focus with these guys. We have had a couple big wins recently over Clear Lake and West Hancock."
