GHV Girls puts in strong effort against rival West Hancock

            Garner-Hayfield-Ventura girls basketball faced off with rival West Hancock in Britt on Dec. 10.

            GHV fell short playing the third-ranked team in Class 2A, losing 43-77. 

            The Cardinals had a strong start in the game, forcing West Hancock to regroup with a timeout. 

            As the game reached halftime, the Eagles had a solid 15-point lead. 

            West Hancock didn’t let up and further spaced the lead out in the fourth quarter.
