Cord Nathaniel Stenberg was born July 28, 1986 and God called him home exactly 38 years later on July 28, 2024.
Visitation for Cord will be held from 4–7 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Schott Funeral Home, 505 N. Clark St. Forest City, IA 50436.
Memorial Services will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 16, 2024 at St. James Catholic Church, 906 West O Street, Forest City, IA 50436, with Father Andrew Marr officiating, with another visitation beginning at 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church.
Burial of the urn will follow the service at Rosehill Cemetery, in Thompson, IA.

Cord was raised in the Leland-Forest City. He moved with his mother to Garner in the Third Grade and completed his schooling at GHV. Cord is remembered as a happy, easy-going guy everyone loved with a quick easy smile. Cord worked hard after school and did a short stint in the US Marines. He was very proud to have been a Marine no matter the length of time.
He was especially loved by his father, Kennath and his mother, Cheryl (Allen) Hawe. Also left to cherish his memory are his brother, Adam (Shylouh) and nieces Misty & Samantha of Britt; Brother, Anthony of Dublin Ireland; Brother, Travis (Beth) Hawe and nephews Aiden & Zane of Garner and Nephew McKinley Hawe of Waterloo and Nephew Dalton (Nora) Hawe of Garner; Sister, Sarah (Tim) Goss and niece McKenna and nephews Talon & Bryce of Sugar Grove, IL; Maternal Grandparents, Adam Kiss & LaDonna Kiss; Paternal Grandmother Barbara Stenberg; Godfather, Kurt (Yvonne) Kiss; Godmother, Tamara (Stephen) Sheehan; as well as many loving aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Roger Stenberg; and Grandparents, Louie & Bernie Hawe.
