In 1976, the Rasmusons built a new store in Garner, and the family moved to Garner. Beverly was instrumental in helping the business thrive and grow, doing much of the decorating and purchasing for the store. She was very artistic and enjoyed many hobbies in addition to her work at the store. Her embroidery work was admired by everyone blessed to receive a set of dish towels from her. Beverly also got involved in Girl Scouting, first as a troop leader for her daughters, then as a service unit manager, and eventually serving on the board of the North Iowa Girl Scout Council. She served as president of the North Iowa Girl Scout Council and received two of Girl Scouting’s highest honors, the Thanks Badge and the Thanks Badge II. She was very proud of her work with the Girl Scouts.
Beverly was a very proud grandmother to five grandchildren, Andrea (Platt) Weinrick, Scott (Jessica) Czarnik, Ben Czarnik, Emma (Adam) Denner, and Kellen (Olivia) Schmidt. She also leaves behind 5 great-grandchildren.
